SUPPORT RHONDA
Rhonda is a proud lifelong resident of Plymouth County. Rhonda and her late husband Bob chose to raise their two daughters, Kristy and Kara, in Hanover. She loves that her daughters, sons-in-law, and grandchildren all also reside in Hanover.

Rhonda began her career working as the Chief Financial Officer of a small, family-owned business for over 15 years. That experience gave her a firsthand understanding of the challenges small businesses face each day, while also reinforcing her appreciation for the vital role they play in strengthening our local economy.

Learning the importance and impact of public service from her late husband, Rhonda served as State Representative for the 5th Plymouth District, which included Hanover, Norwell and Rockland. During her time at the State House, she served on the powerful House Committee on Ways & Means, brought transportation for our seniors to the district, funding for local infrastructure projects and education, and advocated for our veterans and school children.

Rhonda most recently served six years on the Hanover Select Board where she was appointed as a delegate to the Old Colony
Planning Council in Brockton and as an Advisory Member to the Plymouth County Commission. She gained valuable insight into the opportunities and challenges facing our region while strengthening her commitment to regional collaboration.

Earlier this year, Rhonda retired from the Plymouth County Sheriff's Department after 11 years of service as a Government Affairs Officer. In that role, she worked closely with municipal leaders, state officials, community organizations, and residents throughout Plymouth County to address issues affecting public safety.

In addition to her work in the public and private sectors, Rhonda has been active in the Plymouth County Democratic League, Hanover Democratic Town Committee, and formerly served on the board of directors at the Talking Information Center. Rhonda and her daughters also run the Robert J. Nyman Memorial Scholarship Fund where they award scholarships high to school seniors in Hanover, Norwell and Rockland who demonstrate a commitment to public service.
